History of revisions

During 32th EMEP Steering Body session some minor changes to the reporting templates were agreed. Revised templates are to be used for the reporting of NEC Directive data and LRTAP data. The latest changes are specifically due to a) the need to reflect the future anticipated changes for reporting of POPs as an outcome of the revision of the CLRTAP POPs protocol and b) correction of various small errors and inconsistencies in the previous templates.

The revisions of Annex IV from 15 October 2009 are as follows:

Annex IV, Table 1

  • International inlandshipping copied to memo items as a follow-up of the EB meeting.
  • “Fugitive emissions from geothermal energy production, peat and other energy extraction” has been moved from 1B2avi to a new source category 1B3 as proposed by the TF expert panel
  • 1 A 5 a B_IndustrialComb replaced with C_SmallComb as proposed by the TF expert panel
  • Footnote h) was modified as proposed by the EEA
  • Row with SNAP totals was deleted as proposed by the TF expert panel
  • Correction of the order of categories as proposed by Austria

Annex IV, Tables 1, 2B and 2C

Several of the POPs have been removed from the annex of the POPs protocol and thus do not need to be reported in 2010. The POPs which are in the templates and need to be reported are:

  • PAHs (Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons). There are 4 as previously- benzo(a)pyrene, benzo(b)fluoranthene, benzo(k)fluoranthene, indeno (1,2,3-cd) pyrene
  • PCDD/F (Dioxins/Furans)
  • HCB (Hexachlorobenzene)

  • the following two POPs are included as voluntary reporting:
  • PCB’s (Polychlorinated biphenyls)
  • HCH (Hexachlorocyclohexane)

Annex IV, Tables 1, 3A and 3B

  • GNFR for Cruise and LTO (follow up of changes in the reporting requirements)

Annex IV, Extensions

  • Sheet deleted as proposed by the TF expert panel

Annex IV, Additional Information

  • Renumbering of tables as proposed by the TF expert panel

The revisons of Annex IV from 4 December 2008 are as follows:

Reporting templates have been revised in year 2009!

For reporting of emissions and projections Parties should solely use latest version of templates "NFR09" dated 30.9.2009 (See Annex IV).

Important note: For the reporting of gridded data and LPS data in 2012 CEIP will accept also submissions in the old reporting templates.
