Stage 3 is centralized review of quantitative and qualitative information of selected inventories by pollutant, country or sector, as in the work plan agreed by the EMEP Executive Body. The plan is to check in detail the inventories of each Party at least once every five years . (=> approximately 10 Parties to be reviewed annually). Annuall in-depth review aims to be consitent accros the Parties and the procees should ensure that the same approach is perfomed each year.
The review is perfomed by the experts nominated by Parties (see roster of experts). The expert review teams (ERTs) are set up by CEIP by the begining of the each review round. Supporting materials for the review teams:
The review of data reported under CLRTAP is performed jointly with those reported under the amended
National Emissions Ceilings Directive (2001/81/EC) and the process is supported by the European Environment Agency (
EEA).
2011 centralised review has been perfomed as planned, 27 June - 1 July. 10 Parties have been reviewed.
Next centralised review is tentatively scheduled for 25-29 June 2012 ( at EEA premises in Copenhagen).
